Mukti Fajar Nur Dewata (born September 29, 1968) is a Professor at the Faculty of Law, Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta (FH UMY). Before being elected as Chairman of the Judicial Commission of Indonesia (KY), Part-Time I, for the term January 2021 – June 2023, Mukti Fajar began his career as a lecturer in 1995 at FH UMY. He also served as a part-time lecturer at the Faculty of Economics, Islamic University of Indonesia, and at the Master of Management program of Gadjah Mada University.
He earned his Bachelor of Law degree from the Faculty of Law, Gadjah Mada University. In 2001, he obtained a Master of Law degree from Diponegoro University, and in 2009, he received a Doctor of Law degree from the University of Indonesia.
Currently serving as an expert staff to the Rector of UMY, Mukti Fajar also has extensive experience in the legal field. He has been recognized with an award as an author with highly commended papers. In addition, he has served as an arbitrator at the Sharia Arbitration Board (Basyarnas) of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), an assessor at the National Accreditation Board, and a peer reviewer for several journals, including Jurnal Yudisial.
In his efforts to further develop his expertise, his scholarly works and papers have been published in various national and international journals. One of them is titled “Corporate Social Responsibility Communication through Website in the Telecommunication Industry: Analysis on Indonesia Telecommunication Companies.”
