Don Murdono (born October 15, 1958) is an Indonesian politician. He served as the Regent of Sumedang for two terms, from 2003 to 2008 and from 2008 to 2013. Prior to that, he was a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) representing the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) from 1999 to 2003. He comes from a mixed family background of Kendal, Central Java, and Wanakerta, Situraja, Sumedang, West Java.

Don is an alumnus of the Faculty of Law at Diponegoro University, graduating in 1986. He later continued his studies by pursuing a Master’s and a Doctorate in Government Science at Satyagama University. Despite having successfully completed his doctoral program, Don has remained eager to keep learning.

In 1999, he was elected as a member of the DPR RI from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle, representing Kendal Regency. Then, in 2003, he was elected Regent of Sumedang for the 2003–2008 term and was re-elected for the 2008–2013 term.

In 2013, he participated in the Central Java gubernatorial election as a candidate for Vice Governor, running alongside former Regional Secretary of Central Java, Hadi Prabowo. Their ticket had certain advantages, including support from the former Deputy Governor from the same party, Rustriningsih, as well as backing from several smaller parties represented in the Central Java Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), such as Gerindra, Hanura, PDP, PKS, PKNU, and PKB. Nevertheless, both the quick count and the official results from the General Elections Commission (KPU) declared their defeat to the ticket of Ganjar Pranowo–Heru Sudjatmoko, who were nominated by their own party (PDI-P).
