Septi Peni Wulandani (born September 21, 1974) is a social activist born in Salatiga. She became one of two community leaders representing Indonesia in the Facebook Community Leadership program in Silicon Valley, United States. Together with Maureen Hitipeuw from Single Moms Indonesia, she brought Ibu Profesional (IP) to compete among 6000 communities in the world in the fellowship category. Ibu Profesional itself has a vision to make the home a student center for both mothers and children.
This woman who graduated from SMAN 1 Salatiga continued her studies at Diponegoro University, majoring in the Faculty of Public Health, graduating around 2007.
The idea of Ibu Profesional (IP) emerged in 2008. The general criteria are that women are serious about carrying out their roles as mothers, women, and wives, covering both domestic and public spheres. The initial IP activities were carried out offline, starting with neighbors and then expanding to mothers around the house and the Salatiga area. After a year of offline activities, activities were carried out online in 2012.
Mothers who had applied the knowledge of becoming professional mothers wrote about their experiences on the web. Starting from word of mouth and promotion of its members, IP spread its wings to other cities and also abroad. Until now, IIP members are spread across 45 cities in Indonesia and several other countries. Among them, Singapore, Malaysia, and Korea. There are also groups of mothers in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, and several countries in Europe.
