Alamuddin Dimyati Rois (December 26, 1980 – May 6, 2025) was a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) from the National Awakening Party faction for the 2009–2014, 2014–2019, 2019–2024, and 2024–2029 terms, representing the electoral district of Central Java I (Semarang City, Semarang Regency, Salatiga City, and Kendal Regency).
Alamuddin Dimyati Rois graduated with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Political Science from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Diponegoro University, Semarang. He is the son of the cleric K.H. Dimyati Rois, the caretaker of the Al-Fadllu Wal Fadhilah Islamic Boarding School in Kendal. In 2017, he founded and became the caretaker of the Al-Fadllu Wal Fadhilah 2 Islamic Boarding School. Alamuddin Dimyati Rois serves on Commission VIII, which oversees the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection, and Zakat.
Gus Alam died at 05.30 WIB, Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Budi Rahayu Hospital, Pekalongan. This was caused by an accident on the Pemalang-Batang toll road Km 315+900 lane A, Karangasem Village, Petarukan District, Pemalang Regency, on Friday, May 2, 2025, early morning, after returning from his routine Koran reading in Brebes. As a result of this accident, two people died and two people were injured. Gus Alam suffered serious injuries with moderate head injuries, fractures to the wrist and ring finger of his right hand, a tear on his left temple, and was in a semi-conscious condition. He was treated and surgery had to be performed. At that time, he was unconscious.
