Prof. Dr. H. Muladi, S.H. (May 26, 1943 – December 31, 2020) was an Indonesian academic, judge, and politician. He served as Chancellor of Diponegoro University, Minister of Justice and Minister of State Secretary during the administrations of Presidents Soeharto and B.J. Habibie (1998-99), and Supreme Court Justice (2000-01). From 2005 to 2011, he served as Governor of the National Resilience Institute.
Although he did not graduate from junior high school, Muladi was still able to continue his education at a private high school, namely SMA Institut Indonesia. He was then accepted at the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Law and Public Knowledge, Diponegoro University, Semarang. He chose to study at the Faculty of Law and Public Knowledge (currently known as the Faculty of Law) and graduated in 1968.
While still a student, Muladi was active as a member of the Indonesian National Student Movement (GMNI), from 1963-1968. He was also once the Commander of Battalion IV, Semarang Student Regiment (1964–1967). In addition, while studying, he worked as an employee of the Oil and Gas OPS, Central Java (1966–1969).
In terms of sports, young Muladi liked karate and judo. This black belt holder even became a national judo athlete. Before being active in politics, he had a career at Diponegoro University as a lecturer. He came to Jakarta when he became a member of the MPR-RI in 1997. After that, he and his family lived in Jakarta.
