Diana Kusumastuti, the Vice Minister for Public Works mandated in “Kabinet Merah Puutih” for the 2024-2029 term under the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto, is alumni of Faculty of Engineering, Diponegoro University year 1991. Before appointed as the Vice Minster for Public Works, Diana Kusumastuti is the General Director of Creation Works, Minister of Public Works and Housing. After graduating from Diponegoro University, she worked at a contractor and interior consultant company. After two years of work, Diana joined ASN recruitment at the Ministry of Public Works in 1993. It was at the Ministry of Public Works that Diana’s career climbed.
Born in Solo, Central Java, in 1967, Diana Kusumastuti graduated from Architecture Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Diponegoro University in 1997, then she continued her study to Master Program in Development Studies, Bandung Institute of Technology. Throughout her career in Ministry of Public Works, she held her principle of getting ready to do any duties though the duty is not her mastery. According to her, any duties she did enrich her competence. Diana is recorded as having served in several sub-directorates, such as MediumTerm Plan Program division, Drinking Water and Environmental Sanitation Program division, and Building and Residential Environment Program division. In 2019, Diana was appointed to be Director of Building Planning Development in which she received important duties like the planning of Nusantara Capital City, finishing the building of seven Cross Border Posts in West Kalimantan (Entikong, Badau, and Aruk), in East Nusa Tenggara (Motaain, Motamassin, and Wini), and in Skouw, Papua. The seven cross border post was built in integrated design with green building and local wisdom principles. Moreover, Diana also received responsibilities to lead the construction of Asian Games venues in Jakarta and Palembang, the revitalization of Manahan Stadium in Solo, and the rehabilitation of cultural heritage buildings such as the Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta, Johar Market in Semarang, and the Atas Market in Bukittinggi.
