Burhanuddin Abdullah, (born July 10, 1947) is an Indonesian economist who was appointed as President Commissioner of PLN on July 23, 2024, replacing Agus Martowardojo. Burhanudin also served as Governor of Bank Indonesia from 2003 to 2008. He is also the Governor of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Washington DC, in Indonesia. Previously, in 2001, he served as Coordinating Minister for Economic, Finance, and Industry under the Government of President Abdurrahman Wahid. He was also the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Economists Association (ISEI) for the 2003-2006 period, and was re-elected for the 2006-2008 period. During his career at Bank Indonesia, he has held several positions at home and abroad.

Burhanuddin obtained a Bachelor of Agriculture (Ir.) degree from the Faculty of Agriculture, Padjadjaran University, Bandung in 1974, a Master of Arts (MA) in Economics from Michigan State University, United States (1984), and an Honorary Doctorate in Economics from Diponegoro University (2006).

Since September 14, 2011, he has been the Chancellor of the Indonesian Cooperative Management Institute (IKOPIN) located in Jatinangor, Sumedang. until IKOPIN changed its form to become the Indonesian Cooperative University, Burhanuddin served until May 29, 2023.
