Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak (born April 10, 1982) is a politician from the Great Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra),[1] an Islamic activist from Muhammadiyah, a former lecturer, economist, public policy observer, and Indonesian businessman who is currently the spokesperson for the Indonesian Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto.

He continued his undergraduate education in Public Accounting at the Ahmad Dahlan Institute of Technology and Business, Jakarta. In 2005, he continued his education in the Masters Program in Planning and Public Policy (MPKP) with a concentration in Central and Regional Financial Decentralization, Faculty of Economics, University of Indonesia. While completing his Masters, he worked as a Lecturer at the Muhammadiyah University of Tangerang (UMT) (formerly STIE Muhammadiyah Tangerang). After completing his Masters, he was accepted as a Civil Servant Lecturer at the Faculty of Economics, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University, Banten. In 2018, he continued his Doctoral education in Economics at Diponegoro University, Semarang. In 2018, he became the coordinator of the Spokesperson for the Prabowo-Sandi National Campaign Agency in the 2019 Presidential Election, and decided to resign as a lecturer at Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University, Banten.

In 2018, he was appointed as the Coordinator of the Prabowo-Sandi Spokesperson, then in 2019 he joined the Gerindra Party and was appointed as the official spokesperson for Prabowo Subianto. When Prabowo Subianto was appointed as the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia in 2019, he was appointed as the Special Staff of the Ministry of Defense for Public Communication, Socio-Economics, and Inter-Institutional Relations.
