Asip Kholbihi, S.H. M.Si (born February 1, 1967) is the Regent of Pekalongan Regency for the 2016–2021 period. As a PKB Politician, Asip has a strong background in religious knowledge because he spent time at the Miftahul Huda Pesantunan Islamic Boarding School, Kedungwuni, Pekalongan and was later elected as the Chairperson of the Pekalongan Regency Islamic Boarding School Association from 1998 to 2000.
Asip Kholbihi is an alumnus of the Faculty of Law, Pekalongan University (Unikal) and continued his Masters in Political Science studies at Diponegoro University, Semarang in 2010-2012. In the midst of his busy schedule as a member of the legislature, Asip still makes time to share knowledge at Wahid Hasyim University and fill seminars organized by students, youth organizations, Islamic boarding schools and the government as well as becoming the Advisory Board of the Pekalongan Regency Garment Traders Association (2013-2018)
He became the Regent of Pekalongan as a result of the 2015 Pekalongan Regent Election paired with Arini Harimurti who is the wife of the Regent of Pekalongan for the 2001-2006 and 2011-2016 periods Amat Antono. One of Asip Kholbihi’s achievements is the Melati Badge Award from the Head of the National Scouting Office (Kwarnas) Commissioner General of Police. (Ret.) Drs. Budi Waseso. He was given the Melati Badge because he was considered to have extraordinary services and dedication for the interests of the Scout movement. Asip Kholbihi, who also serves as the Head of the Pekalongan Regency Scout Movement Branch Office, is one of two regents who received the Melati Badge award besides the Regent of Grobogan, Sri Sumarni. Asip Kholbihi said the Melati Badge award is the highest award given by Kwarnas as a form of trust in the Head of the Pekalongan Regency Scout Office.
